Kevin Lee Director
Kevin Lee is a dedicated business professional with vast experience of business finance and business growth. He is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. He holds an MBA from Durham University. As former Head of Logistics Operations for the Co-operative group's £4billion national logistics operation and as Chief Operating Officer for the £11m food retailing, wholesaling and manufacturing business of MI Dickson Ltd – he has extensive experience in guiding companies through the maze of business regulation and leading them through periods of expansion. As a former partner with Harlands Accountants, Kevin has had extensive experience working with a diverse range of businesses - from large corporates to SMEs. He has a wealth of experience across all business sectors including manufacturing, wholesaling, retailing, construction, trade and professional services. As well as his professional expertise – Kevin is passionate about his work and is dedicated to providing clients with a high quality service in all aspects of accountancy matters. In his spare time he is an extremely keen but very average golfer.
Tom Lee Director
Tom Lee is dedicated finance professional with over a decade of experience in compliance and business advisory. Tom is a member of the Institute for Chartered Accountants for England and Wales and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants as well as being a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He also holds an MBA with distinction from the University of Manchester Alliance Business School. Within practice, Tom’s specialisms are business advisory, especially in relation to corporate finance and personal tax. Tom’s business experience outside of practice work includes two directorships he holds with the Aircards Group as well as a North East branch of the NHS. He has gained further NHS finance experience as a contracted financial controller for Durham Dales Health Federation. Outside of work Tom’s interests include fitness and chess.
Ryan Dodds Director
Ryan joined the team in March 2019 and is currently entering his final exams with ICAEW to become a fully qualified ACA member following a role with the Finance Department at Durham University. Ryan has developed his skills to be able to prepare accounts & self assessment tax returns during his time with KL Accountants and has worked closely with a number of clients on bespoke tax planning projects.Away from work Ryan enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking as well as spending time with family, friends and his three dogs.
Rhiannon Logan McCanceACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
Rhiannon is an apprentice training towards becoming a Charted Accountant with ICAEW and has been with the company since 2018. During her time with KL Accountants, Rhiannon has achieved her Level 3 AAT qualification.Rhiannon specialises in bookkeeping and the preparation of personal tax returns. She also works on the submissions of annual returns to Companies House alongside the preparation and submission of VAT returns to HMRC. When not at work Rhiannon enjoys spending time outdoors with her dogs and quality time with her family.
Jessica Richardson ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
Jess is an apprentice currently working towards AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and has recently just completed AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting. She joined the business in September 2020 and has developed a speciality in managing the payroll bureau. She now handles around 150 payrolls whilst also becoming a key member of the bookkeeping and accounts team and hopes to develop this further. Jess is hoping to progress, develop her skills and experience within the business and eventually become a member of ICAEW (Institute of Charted Accountants in England and Wales). In her free time, she enjoys arts and crafts and is becoming extremely interested in crochet. During the weekends she is keen to support her local rugby club with her family by watching the team matches where her boyfriend occasionally plays. She also enjoys spending a Saturday night with her friends socialising.
